Company Second Brain
A Company Second Brain is a managed AI knowledge system that helps employees find answers across approved company sources. It brings retrieval, citations, and access controls together so teams can use institutional knowledge without searching every tool separately.
How is this different from a wiki?
A wiki stores and organizes information. A knowledge assistant can retrieve relevant material across connected sources and synthesize an answer. Existing wikis remain valuable source systems. The choice depends on source coverage, permissions, answer quality, and the work your team needs to do.
How are permissions handled?
We map source access rules to retrieval controls and test them with representative user roles. Permission changes, deleted documents, and restricted content need explicit handling. Citations let users inspect the underlying source, and uncertain or unsupported answers should be escalated.
What does implementation involve?
We identify authoritative sources and content owners, assess data quality, connect approved repositories, and build an evaluation set from real team questions. Delivery includes the retrieval experience, access-control tests, deployment, and an agreed refresh and support process.
What should an enterprise prepare?
A source inventory, identity/access requirements, sample questions, and a team that can judge answer quality. Outdated or conflicting documents need ownership and review; adding AI does not make unreliable source material authoritative.
How we measure progress
- Time to find a verified answer
- Citation accuracy and answer coverage
- Permission tests, freshness, and adoption
Common questions
Can we retain our existing document tools?
Yes. The system can connect supported repositories without replacing the tools your teams use to author content.
Does retrieval eliminate incorrect answers?
No. Source quality, evaluations, citations, uncertainty handling, and human review reduce risk but do not guarantee perfect answers.
